Tired of the presidential game the 2 big parties make us play
Tired of republicans and democrats playing the “Lets see who can get away with the worst candidate and still force the people to vote for them” game. I want to vote, I want to do my part, and this year I am seriously considering voting independent or maybe a different party candidate, whoever lines up with my ideals the most; but everyone says not voting Democrat or Republican is like wasting your vote. I hate this ‘lesser of 2 evils’ game they make us play and this year is the worst yet, it’s like a competition between these 2 big parties. And sometimes these non-major party candidates are actually quite decent but nobody really takes a good strong look at them and that’s disappointing. I wish the rest of the U.S voters would also vote non-major party to try and send a message to the major party’s that we’re tired of this game they’re forcing us to play.
I’m beginning to think that nobody young’ish, with good values and morals and common sense, could ever make it to the presidential ballet. Maybe you have to sacrifice a lot of those morals in order to make it to that ballet? That’s it’s impossible to make it that far up the ladder without having sacrificed ‘doing the right thing’ more than once. And that, is sad. And probably what’s truly wrong with the American political system.
Seriously when is the last time you’ve ever been trying to judge who to vote for based on the greater of 2 goods? Where both would be awesome presidents but maybe one candidate might do a slightly better job than the other candidate? It’s always “lesser of 2 evils” and trying to determine who’s going to screw things up the least, at least IMHO.
